My Intro to YouTube

I started recording my computer screen while performing some tidbits by the month of may in the year 2010. I had no intentions for doing this but had great interest and involvement.

My very first video

My first video was 'Task-bar tricks' which I did for fun, listening to my voice over the web was funny. Had a nice time reading bullying comments by viewers.

My search for a better recorder

The task-bar tricks video earned me 30 views which was big deal for me. I made my second video 'How to create a new drive'. The above two videos I did was with BSR screen recorder which had its watermark at the right side bottom which bothered me on top of which the voice pitch was so high and distorted, Googled and found Camtasia which I must say is amazing.

First recording with camtasia

I thought of making videos of all that I learnt/know of myself but, no one took interest in watching it. Moreover everything is available over the internet already. So I started viewing ten to twenty videos a day since 2 in twenty will be informative, some videos will have no audio and some videos will end abruptly; Most annoyingly some videos will be a prank with no meaning or lesson but just views. I made my first video with Camtasia recorder 'How to create a virus'. 1/12/2010

Unraveling a mystery, suspense always keeps me going

In my reading voyage, I'm done with Perry mason series by Earle Stanley Gardner, a very good detective story much interesting and breath taking than Sherlock homes by sir Arthur Connon Doyle. 1/12/2011

My best video

I made several videos and expected some response from the viewers. Some videos got above 50 within 2 days and some got above 50 by weeks time. I had an old Pentium III computer with very less hard disk space, learnt about paging concept and its impact on multitasking(Multithreading) from Operation system concepts by Abraham Silberschatz, Greg Gagne, Peter Baer Galvin; tried to change the default paging size in my XP operating system and then tried to set the same paging size via a pen drive (USB) which is nothing but making your USB set as your cache memory. I made this video with certainly no expectations to have any particular number of views but as soon as I uploaded it, the view counts boosted to 100 in 2 days and now it's almost 700 from the date of my upload 27/7/2010.

My first website

I had been working on launching a website with full of tutorials for learning several foreign languages and programming languages. When I inquired for web-space for making my website a learning portal through high definition video tutorials. The web space had a limit of just 15 GB. So I decided to upload my videos in YouTube, Vimeo, Videobb, 5min and Metacafe.com and just embed them in my website so that I could make money in 4 ways by the same video.
